There are 3 known reasons for MacQuisition displaying "Error 1: Imaging_handle_close: unable to close output handle".
- The user is trying to create an image or data collection to a destination drive formatted as MS-DOS (FAT32) and the segment size is greater than 3.9 GB. The FAT file system has a limitation of 4 GB, therefore the imager is required to select a segment size smaller than 4 GB.
- A user could also encounter this error if there is not enough space on the destination drive.
- A user could encounter this error if the cable to the destination drive was pulled out or going bad.
HOW TO RESOLVE THIS ERROR:
If the destination drive is formatted as FAT32, double check the segment size is less than 4 GB in the 'Image Device' view. We do not recommend using FAT32 for Data Collections.
If the destination drive is NOT formatted as FAT32, try a different destination drive and/or cable.
